       Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week, for multiple reasons. First off I only have one class on Wednesdays, Business Communications, and it is with the Director of the program, Ignacio. We refer to him as the silver fox, because he reminds us of a Spanish George Clooney.  He always has a big smile on his face and his class is always very entertaining. He makes us give presentations on different chapters of the book and then once we sit down after giving our presentation, he says he'll give out extra credit for every mean comment we can say about why their presentation was bad. It's pretty hilarious to listen to. For example, say the comment was that the person moved around too much or swayed from side to side, Ignacio would impersonate the presenter and exaggerate the characteristic way out of proportion to where it is comical. He likes referring to people who walk around the stage while slouching, leaning backwards, and taking large steps with a limp as a Queen Latifah, and again replicates it hysterically.     

       Secondly, the program rents out a turf soccer field that is right down the road and we get to play for about two hours every Wednesday! It's a lot of fun, Ignacio even play with us. He possesses typical Spanish foot work and style of play. (He also tells us He's only 23, when He's actually in his forties or older, who knows) There are all levels of players that come out to play. There are some that have played most of their life, some that have played on JV in high school, and of course there's those kids who only played when they were little, don’t worry they were “sick” when they were five.

       Lastly, and most importantly, we have found a restaurant where everything on their menu on Wednesdays is only a euro! It's pretty amazing. They have little sandwiches that you can get with anything that you can imagine. They have 90; yes 90, sandwiches on their menu along with salads, drinks, and sides. My favorite is to get the “papas fitas con quatro salsas” which are French fries with four different sauces to dip in. (I have to get a little America in my meals from time to time.) They also have drinks that are called “jarra de tinto” also know as a jar filled with a mix that I can only describe as red wine, sprite, and sugar. It’s pretty amazing for a euro, and that pretty much wraps up a typical Wednesday.
