Day 13?

       Is it to soon to say that I never wanna come home..? The last twelve days have been ridiculous. There's no other way to describe them. It started off with staying in a five star hotel for three nights (thanks mr. Fallar), and then from there moving into an old family owned palace, the FSU study center, which is behind two giant towers; the Torres de Serrano. 

The building to the right is the FSU study center, and my room is the window on the second story all the way to the right. My room came equipped with a balcony looking at downtown and a ligit kitchen right next door. Not to mention, pretty cool flat mates.  The next few days consisted of exploring downtown Valencia and trying out new restaurants and unique foods. Of which, there are two that stand out and are absolutely amazing! The first is Tapas, which is kinda like a meal made up of appetizers. Usually, it's a small but thick piece of bread with some sort of topping from "jamon" (cured ham) to artichokes with clams, and everything in-between . There is a really good Tapas bar called Sagardi, and its cool because they put all the tapas on the bar, similar to a sushi bar, and you just grab a plate and walk by and grab which ever one you want. The other food that Valencia is know for is "Paella", which is a Valencian rice dish with usually vegetables and chicken or shrimp. Last but not least is my favorite place to eat which is walk to wok. Which is just Asian stir fry but its so good!  My favorite part is probably just watching them cook. 

  The best part about it is that they accept Cheques, which are the 7 euro vouchers that we get for lunches. 

      Aside from food, I got to witness Three Kings Day in downtown Valencia witch is really cool. It's essentially their Christmas, and they do it right. Everyone goes out to the bars and then posts up to watch the parade. After elbowing your way into a good position the festivities begin. The parade consisted of Jesters juggling, floats filled with people dressed up in costumes, loud music, and kids dressed up throwing candy and soccer balls into the crowd! It's essentially Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas all combined into one night. 

    After that classes began, and I swear one of my teachers is charlie sheen's twin brother. He's absolutely crazy; but hilarious. I can't wait to see how culture and civilization turns out, which is the class that he teaches, and all the trips that we get to go on.
